Prospective DHS tennis players and parents,

Thank you for considering the DHS tennis program!  Our program emphasizes academics, fitness, competition and tennis skill development.  There are open positions on our Varsity and JV teams:

  • Candidates for the varsity team must tryout in the round robin skills test.
  • All players that do not gain a position on the Varsity team will participate on the JV Team.
  • For beginning and intermediate players, no tennis skills test is necessary to make the JV 2 team, just an interest in developing their tennis skills.

Tryout schedule and requirements:

  1. Physical
    1. All players must fill out the physicals and information forms at www.rankonesport.com
      1. Freshmen and juniors must complete all 10 documents (physician required).
      2. Sophomores and seniors complete only first 8 documents (parents and students only)
    2. Players without a physical will not be able to tryout or practice
    3. The school has arranged for a doctor to perform Physical Examinations on June 23rd at 7:00am at the Jim Bateman Fieldhouse (old campus).
    4. The cost is $25.
    5. Athletes will need to have a parent present in order to complete the exam.
    6. The medical history portion of the form must be filled out prior to the exam.
    7. You may need a physical if your physical on school file is more than 2 years old.
